The National Chimney Sweep Guild promotes safe home heating by making sure their members are up-to-date on the lastest safety requirements. They provide information, continuing education and certification services. They are so well-respected that government inspectors and code-writers often turn to them to help develop building codes and standards for chimney and fireplace design, construction, and maintenance.

Chimney sweeps (Guild-certified or otherwise) can make great installers; after all, they constantly work with and even correct faulty installations. Keep in mind, however, that chimney sweeps tend to be very busy in the Fall with their established customers. However, they are often willing to do installations during less busy times of the year, or they may know an installer in your area who is willing to help. Plus, if a chimney sweep does your installation, you'll always have someone to turn when the chimney needs to be cleaned.
